A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Reading, to work on the numerical simulation and modelling of dispersion in urban areas. The researcher will be part of the EPSRC-funded DIPLOS project (Dispersion of Localised Releases in a Street Network). DIPLOS aims to improve the capability to model accidental or deliberate releases of harmful airborne material in cities. The project involves close collaboration with researchers at the Universities of Surrey and Southampton and at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France. The appointed postholder will undertake a diversity of tasks ranging from fundamental science to applied modelling, and will play a key role in linking different parts of the project.
